Silence of the Lambs is a 1991 psychological horror-thriller film directed by Jonathan Demme. The film is based on Thomas Harris’ novel of the same name and follows FBI agent Clarice Starling, played by Jodie Foster, as she investigates a serial killer known as “Buffalo Bill.” Anthony Hopkins as the infamous cannibal Dr. Hannibal Lecter and Ted Levine as Buffalo Bill star in the film. The Silence of the Lambs was widely praised and won five Academy Awards, including Best Picture, Best Director, and Best Actor for Hopkins.
